2019 has been a great year for Continuous Optimization and #TeamOpsani. Before we step into the great unknown of 2020, let’s look back at some of the milestones and memories that Opsani has achieved and made this year!

Recognitions and Accolades: CIOReview Magazine and CNBC

Last April, Opsani made it to CIOReview Magazine’s “Top 100″ list of Most Promising Tech Startups – 2019, an award that recognizes an elite group of standout companies who have disrupted standard industry operations.

Then, just recently, Opsani was also featured on this year’s CNBC Upstart 100 list. CNBC’s annual list celebrates the top 100 startups that people should watch out for, having rapidly become successful entrepreneurial stories.

Again, we are honored to receive such recognition, and this inspires us to do more and continue our innovation with Continuous Optimization. Thank you!

Funding and Support: $10M from Redpoint Ventures and Partners

Opsani was also able to secure a $10 million Series-A funding round led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from early investors Zetta Ventures and Bain Capital this year.

“Redpoint has been successful in following its core philosophy of prioritizing and backing great teams, so getting behind Opasni carries that tradition forward. Ross and Peter are serial company builders and leaders, and they’ve again identified an unmet need that Opsani is uniquely positioned to service. Continuous Optimization of cloud-based applications completes the CI/CD toolset in DevOps,” said Satish Dharmaraj, Partner, Redpoint Ventures.

This funding will go a long way to scaling Opsani’s operations to tackle the projected $50 billion cloud spend market in 2020. We are grateful for the trust that Redpoint Ventures, Zetta Ventures, and Bain Capital have given us.

Major Partnerships: Ancestry.com and a Major FinTech Company

Aside from funding, Opsani has also secured partnerships with major players in the industry.

Ancestry®, the global leader in family history and consumer genetics services, instituted Opsani’s Continuous Optimization to drive down cost, without hampering performance. As a result, the company saw savings of up to 61% savings, with no degradation in performance.

A major fintech leader providing SaaS financial management solutions also implemented Opsani’s Continuous Optimization to optimize their cloud operations. They were juggling more than 1,300 virtual machines across AWS, Java, Wavefront, and Spinnaker. The fintech leader saw a 67% cost reduction and saved millions within the first quarter of use.

Indeed, Continuous Optimization with Opsani is giving companies a new lease on reducing their costs and optimizing their apps and system performances.

Events and Talks: O’Reilly Velocity Conference, Microsoft Ignite, KubeCon, and AWS Re:Invent

Opsani’s been busy with lots of events this year, too!

We were at the O’Reilly Velocity Conference last June 10-13 at the San Jose Convention Center this year. Then, last November 4-8, we were in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center for Microsoft Ignite 2019

That was followed by KubeCon + CloudNativeCon 2019 last November 18-21 at the San Diego Convention Center, where we got a shoutout from Darek Gajewski in his Ancestry.com talk (Thanks, Darek! :D). And finally, we had Amazon’s AWS re:Invent 2019 Conference just  this December 02-06 in Las Vegas.

It was nice meeting all those like-minded individuals, and if you had a chance to visit our booths during these conferences, then hooray! It was nice meeting you, too.

As 2019 ends and 2020 begins, we at Opsani would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us on this journey and made 2019 a successful year. Big thanks to the investors, to our customers, to our advisors, and to #TeamOpsani.

May you have a wonderful holiday season. See you in 2020!
