Welcome to the team Sam, What’s your major?

I’m majoring in Economics.

What is your past work experience/ experiences like?

I worked on a dock one summer, which was a lot of fun, but I didn’t enjoy the sunburns and the awkward tan lines. I also worked at a Vineyard Vines for two years. It was there that I really overcame my fear of approaching strangers and pitching them products.

What skills do you think will help you be successful at Opsani?

I’m really open to constructive criticism. I think as a young intern just entering the tech industry, that will prove very useful. It’s pretty likely that I will make some mistakes along the way, but there will always be a better way to do things. Being open to feedback and acting on it will, in my opinion, be crucial to my success at Opsani.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Since I was in first or second grade, a dad of one of my friends always preached “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”. I still take my school work seriously, but from a young age I started to learn the importance of building relationships and a network.

What is your favorite activity to do when you’re not working?

I love to drive. For me, driving provides a space for a lot of things. If I have something on my mind, I can drive and think it through. I can go see or do new things with my friends, or if we have nothing to do, just cruise and listen to music.
